Here’s my annual poem for Remembrance Day.

Wander the lonely hills
covered in scarlet poppies
as the cold November wind
blows the yesteryear of war.
Boom the guns,
acrid smoke and sound
Boom the guns,
as the soldiers fall
Wander the lonely hills
just above the bones
as the cold November wind
whispers voices of the lost

That’s hauntingly beautiful.
