National Poetry Month Day 13: Scorch

Back to the opinions today, with a poem called Scorch.

Scorch

Pillars of lies, uplifting
Our wayward society, drifting
Burn it all down

Entwined oppression of dreams
Exploitation and denial extreme
Pillars of lies, uplifting

Turn a blind, broken eye to the pain
Babble the consistent crazed refrain
Our wayward society, drifting

Engulfed, like a phoenix dying
A new world from the ashes, rising
Burn it all down
