My poem for Remembrance Day

The annual poem to honour the fallen.

Wisps of Smoke

In the aftermath, the air swirls
in an acrid scent,
the residue of war
Bodies, row on row,
hail the cost
hate never sees

Babies with bombs
children with guns
Conflict never solved
Yet, the violence, death
rages on.
