#NationalPoetryMonth Day 3: A Dram of Whisky

Day three’s poem (and still banned on Facebook).

A Dram of Whisky

A shuffled step, a burden borne

Ease into your chair, arms well-worn

To fumble at the glass

and pour the amber grace, reborn

A sniff, a sip, all cares now shorn

And let misfortune pass
