Three more horror drabbles today, enjoy.

The Storm Is Coming
She drifted within the storm, the raging heart of the beast, lightning snapping from her fingertips, thunder screaming her name. The unbridled tempest embraced her, fed her, cradled her fury inside its primordial force.
Here she dreamed.
Nightmares of evisceration, of splattered gore and severed limbs, mingled with the scent of charred flesh. Visions of drowning ocean waves and desperate screams cut short under the smothering water.
In the storm and slumber her power intensified, waiting for her awakening, her final act…
And when she opened her eyes, the skies rained blood.
The storm unleashed its wrath and her revenge.
Eldritch
I was born in starlight and dark matter, spewed from the cosmic maw to take form. I am monstrous to many; misshapen, bulbous, veined, tentacled. Pulsing with crimson colour and oozing black fluid from orifices. I have been called many things: abomination, dreaded horror, cosmic unholy, foul beast, Worshipped or reviled, feared or pursued.
I asked for none of it.
Bounced by whims and circumstance, branded by creatures who seek to fathom what I am, yet go mad with the attempt. They cannot bind me to their concepts.
So they banished me.
Imprisoned me.
At least I have peace here.
The Tree
The blood red moon sparkled off its leaves, this old gnarled tree surviving on the small island far out in the lake. Water reflected its black shadow, a contrast to the crimson light from the sky. The night lay serene and still, wrapped in the quiet of a broken world.
Only the tree remained.
A lone bit of life, surrounded by the lake and the gentle lap of the water on the shore, the bitter wind rustling its leaves, swaying its branches. Underneath, strewn in its shade, scattered the bones. Remnants of people, desperate to remain, knowing they would fail…
