National Poetry Month Day 20: Raven Carnival

Another word cloud prompt with Raven Carnival. I wrote a Catena Rondo poem for this one. Enjoy.

Raven Carnival

Whispered shadows past the moonlight mist,
where the ravens dance the hurdy-gurdy
and performers preen in tents striped and sturdy
Whispered shadows past the moonlight mist

Where the ravens dance the hurdy-gurdy
soaring ‘round and ‘round their treetop tune
and screeching laughter beneath the moon,
where the ravens dance the hurdy-gurdy

Soaring ‘round and ‘round their treetop tune;
far above the crowds, those ravens sing,
swoop and wheel; performance on wing
Soaring ‘round and ‘round their treetop tune

Far above the crowds, those ravens sing
whispered shadows past the moonlight mist,
in the echo of a world that should not exist
Far above the crowds, those ravens sing

Whispered shadows past the moonlight mist,
where the ravens dance the hurdy-gurdy
and performers preen in tents striped and sturdy
Whispered shadows past the moonlight mist
