National Poetry Month Day 2: Hurdy-Gurdy Girls

Day 2, and today’s prompt was hurdy-gurdy.

Hurdy-Gurdy Girls

A wailing hurdy-gurdy,
a little flash of petticoat
and a tall gin fizz
The golden scent of money in the air
A swing around the dance floor
as the music plays its razzle dazzle
To end at the bar
and another drink
