National Poetry Month Day Three: Turkish Night

Turkish Night

A swirl of aromatic smoke
On the drifting evening breeze
With a lingering hint of rose

Waning light along the street
beyond the day ever ending
and a canopy of emerging stars

Moonlight over the bazaar
Against shades of tapestry gold
And the fading scent of coffee
