Grace and Mercy

Ripples in consequence, our undertow
grant us mercy, grant us grace,
for our ignorance and our harm
as we wander this existential life

Ignored clarification, and kindness,
caught against mutable voices
Grant us grace, grant us mercy
as we navigate this shifting life

Shall we licence biased judgement,
choose the path of least resistance?
Devoid of compassion, our empathy,
without our mercy, without grace?
