Drabble Wednesday: Revenge, Cow Style

Some more antics with Oswald and the cows. Enjoy.

Glitter is the Best Revenge

“How did Arabella even find two bags of artificial pink feathers and glitter glue?”
“I don’t know.” Frankie shook his head. “I think Doctor Quakenboss helped her. Poor Oswald. He soaked in the tub for three hours to get all the stuff off him.”
“Not entirely. He’s still finding glitter in places. At least according to Eric who’s been listening to his complaints all week.”
“Oh. So that’s why he’s been grumpy all week.”
I nodded. “I hope he doesn’t try to get even, or escalate the situation. You know how Oswald can get.”
“Oooh, a cow versus penguin showdown.”

Le Pingouin Noir Returns?

“Can’t you just forgive her?” Eric pecked at the air, eyeing Oswald.
“Absolutely not! Perhaps if it had only been feathers and glue, but glitter? No, that insult shall not be borne! Do you know how hard it is to get glitter out of your…well, never mind.”
“But it’s sweet Arabella. The kindest of cows.”
“Sweet? She is a cruel vixen! Now are you in or out, chicken?”
Eric sighed, “I’m in.”
“Excellent. We shall make that crazy cow pay for this indignity! Everyone shall pay for this affront to Oswald Davenport! Le Pingouin Noir will not let this stand!”

Don’t Mess With Le Pingouin

“Please, stop crying, Arabella, you don’t look atrocious at all,” Doctor Quakenboss mooed. “Polka dots become you.”
“They’re chartreuse and neon pink! Those colours don’t become anyone. And polka dots make me look fat!” Her cow wail filled the room. “How could he?”
“Well, he was rather vexed at the glitter, my dear. Still, changing your programming was ungentlemanly. Whatever did you see in Oswald?”
“What does it matter now? No one will ever like me looking like this!”
“I like you, my dear. In fact, I am ever so fond of you, even if you refuse to notice.”
“What?”
