Today I bring you a chant poem from the prompt, Raven on a Gravestone. Enjoy.

Raven on a Gravestone
Your teardrops of infinite silence
plunged within the immutable void
as you stand there, facing mortality
as a raven caws on the gravestone
Ethereal memories are dispirited remains,
things displaced, an infinity of time erased
as you weep there, cursing mortality
as a raven caws on the gravestone
Blistering misery boils through your blood,
decreed powerless, conquered by inevitability
as you tremble there, hating mortality
as a raven caws on the gravestone
Falling teardrops of immeasurable denial
never acknowledging that wretched farewell
as you turn away, shattered by mortality
as a raven caws on the gravestone
