Surrender to Reflection

Glimpses in the fractured glass
mercurial echo of that perfection need,
mirroring your hollowed class

Holding tight, that ring of brass
while you open your veins to bleed
Glimpses in the fractured glass

A contract loss, stationary impasse,
owing nothing, save self-centered greed
mirroring your hollowed class

Letting emotional decency bypass
a humble humanity that you secede
Glimpses in the fractured glass

Dancing over the widening crevasse
akimbo choices, and reality will concede
mirroring your hollowed class

Yet, there is status to amass,
the shimmering desire to succeed
Glimpses in the fractured glass
mirroring your hollowed class
