Another three drabbles for Rise of the Vegetables as the saga starts to wrap up.

The Pet Defence
The pets scrambled into the vid room, surprising Frankie who yelped. They ignored the outburst and headed to a side panel. Erik pried it open and Fluffy, perched on Doctor Quackenboss’ head, stared at the buttons.
“What was the sequence again, Doctor Quackenboss?”
“Yellow, Blue, Purple, and Red.”
Tiny paws pushed buttons and suddenly the room hummed. The holo vid activated and the turtle hologram materialized in the middle of the room, surrounded by dozens of zombie vegetables.
“You are too late! We will take over the garden and you cannot—” The holograms glitched, morphed, and all the vegetables disappeared.
The Defeat
“What have you done!” The turtle roared, but in the next blink he turned into a docile creature alternatively munching lettuce and singing a show tune in a patch of marigolds.
Doctor Quackenboss mooed, “The anti-virus program did its work.”
Across the room, Frankie stared at the animals before furiously checking his tablet. “What happened to the program? Where are the singing vegetables? Explain yourselves!”
After exchanged glances, Doctor Quackenboss explained, “The original program developed a virus and corrupted the code. We fixed it.”
Frankie frowned but nodded, staring at his tablet. The pets slowly backed out of the room.
The Problem of Oswald
“What about Le Pingouin Noir? Shouldn’t we check on him?” Fluffernutter licked a paw.
“Oh, my word, yes. I’ll pop in through the holo grid. You three meet me there via the vents.” Doctor Quackenboss mooed and disappeared. Moments later they reunited, staring at the unconscious form of Oswald Davenport, still hooked up to the helmet.
“Is he dead?” Erik pecked Oswald’s foot.
“I don’t believe so, merely incapacitated. I believe his consciousness has merged with our holo grid.”
“Darn right, it has!” A large hologram of Oswald’s head appeared. “Now remove me and put me back in my body!”
