A Postcard Most Peculiar

It came in the mail today,
this postcard most peculiar
a picture perfect missive
from someone I used to know

It came in the mail today
this postcard most unusual
a cheery note from you
salutations, and wishing I was there

It came in the mail today
this postcard most unsettling,
mailed only two days past
Yet, you’ve been dead for months

It came in the mail today
I am afraid someone knows…
