National Poetry Month Day 23: Hide and Scream

Another word cloud prompt, with Hide and Scream. I wrote a free verse horror poem with this one, so be warned.

Hide and Scream

Hello. Why so scared?
I’m only here to play
a little game I love,
called Hide and Scream

That’s right, that’s right,
run away. My favourite part
Now I can seek you out,
listen to you breathe,
those short, frightened pants
Isn’t this game fun?

Oh my, there you are,
crouched in the corner
Such wide eyes, such tears
but it’s the end of the game
the part where you scream
