Today’s (word cloud) prompt is Bright Petals, and I wrote a haibun for you. Enjoy.

Bright Petals
Fields of vivid colour, red against the green, soft petals tickling the blades of grass. Ripples of wind drifting over like a lazy river as the surrounding trees sway in the morning sun. You walk, fingers reaching for the flowers, a sigh on your lips.

Today is ANZAC Day in New Zealand. And your poem is so appropriate for us as we commerate those who fought and those who died in both WW1 an WW11.
