National Poetry Month Day 25: Dusky Stillness

More word cloud prompts today with Dusky Stillness. Went with a free verse poem, because my brain couldn’t wrap itself around rhyme this morning. Enjoy.

Dusky Stillness

Hazy light snared in silence
drifting in ethereal suspension
a moment,
suspended breath of the world

Soft velvet darkness suppression
creeping at the edge of day
a juncture,
where the sunlight melds to black
