Day 30 – National Poetry Month: Sharp Edges

So we come to the last day of this year’s National Poetry Month. I give you a free verse poem from the prompt Sharp Edges. Enjoy.

Sharp Edges

Sharp tone
Deep cut
into what
is your psyche
A wallop in your gut
falling, falling within a dark engulfing fuse
Words bury you, a smothering debris
triggering your emotional glut of anxiety
