Day Eight – National Poetry Month: Winter Sun

Today I have one of my favourite poetry forms, a triolet, and the prompt is Winter Sun. Enjoy.

Winter Sun

Warm reflections breach the long shadows reign
that gleam of hope against a season of bitter ice,
as the snow shimmers promise along its grain
Warm reflections breach the long shadows reign
Colours dance, a kaleidoscope of brilliant distain
for winter’s decree and its inevitable price
Warm reflections breach the long shadows reign
that gleam of hope against a season of bitter ice
