New Anthologies

So I have two new book releases to announce, one that’s been out for a week or so (I know I’m late on that one) and one that just came on pre-order.

First up is the new Canadian horror anthology, Abandon: 13 Tales of Impulse, Betrayal, Surrender, & Withdrawal. The book is chock full of talented authors, and me, with my story called, ForsakenForsaken is a dark adventure tale full of magic and a bit of a cross between Penny Dreadful and The Mummy.

Abandon: 13 Tales of Impulse, Betrayal, Surrender, & Withdrawal

Abandon_FrontCover_Final

To act with abandon, in any sense of the word, is human. Whether it’s the sudden, strong urge to do something, either good or bad, or the act of betraying someone you love, we make choices that forever change our lives. Do you give into something or someone completely, or withdraw wholly into yourself? These thirteen stories run the gamut of emotions and express horror as you’ve never imagined it.

The story of a woman alone at the end of the world and the small lifeline she hopes will prove humanity still exists challenges the search for anything left behind after the death of a child. What if you hid a secret you’d thought no one else knew? Would its revelation spark the monster hiding within? A downward spiral into madness juxtaposes the ultimate, but impossible, (re)birth. Would you choose the frigid winds of winter over the warmth and safety of your lover’s arms?

Abandon hope, all who enter here…

Featuring stories from some of the hottest names in Canadian Horror including Ted Bergeron, Chantal Boudreau, Crystal Bourque, Suzanne Church, Brian F.H. Clement, Sèphera Girón, Danann Hawes, Repo Kempt, Caitlin Marceau, Jon Olson, James Pyne, Andrew Robertson, and A. F. Stewart.

Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. The raw force of these elements is truly phenomenal, but can these extraordinary poets harness their power?

What happens when you give poets an open call to write about the elements? You get a diverse array of poems that touch on everything from loss to the celebration of life, passion, and long lost memories, to the feeling of being at home in a storm. Though each poet wrote about these same five elements, each tapped into different themes and emotions, creating a well-rounded anthology that has something to offer to everyone.

From the lyrical to the concise, from odes of joy to the desolation of war, you’ll find your next favorite poem in these pages.

OWS Ink Anthology collection brings you themed poetry from the brilliant minds of J.K. Allen, A.F. Stewart, Dorothy Tinker, Anna Schoenbac, Ed Ahern, Janet McCann, Ynes Malakova, Karla Linn Merrifield, Kerry E.B. Black, Matt Wilson, and Stacy Overby.

Grab your favorite brew and settle in to explore Primal Elements today.
