National Poetry Month – Day 21: Ghosts of Blood

Today I went a bit more figuratively themed with the prompt, ghost with the bloody finger, and didn’t use it as the title. Today’s form is my try at a luc bat.

Ghosts of Blood

Stained echo in the hall,
whispers dance off the wall, along
the shiver of a song
The smell of blood is strong, drifting
on the air, still shifting
past memories sifting, beneath
Accusations bequeath
murky lies underneath the grief
and question disbelief
A delirium thief of thought
slipping sanity fraught
with guilt, knowing you wrought the fall
