City of Lights

 

Against a sunset cerise

the lights of the city glow

A tapestry of time, a frieze

a glimmer in the river flow

 

The lights of the city glow

each one, a lovely spark;

a glimmer in the river flow

reflections in the dark

 

Each one, a lovely spark,

a tapestry of time, a frieze

Reflections in the dark,
