Adventure at Reichenbach

Heyward and Andersen are on vacation.

It doesn’t go as planned…

A chance meeting with an old acquaintance and a calamitous encounter with Sherlock Holmes send Heyward and Andersen on the hunt for a missing vampire and the truth behind a sinister prophecy. In an unfamiliar country and on their own, they must summon their wits and allies to help them ferret out the clues before it’s too late.

Enemies surround them, propelling them on a collision course with deadly paranormal forces out to destroy the world. Will they prevail? Or will this be their last case?

Will Elspeth finally get to use her dynamite?

Set in a world of airships, mysteries, and monsters, Adventure at Reichenbach is the fifth and concluding story in the Heyward and Andersen, Consulting Detectives series. Buy today and don’t miss this rousing wrap-up to the paranormal mystery series!

The ebook is up on three stores at the moment, Amazon, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble (Google Books is having an internal hissy fit with the upload, so I’m going to wait and see if it corrects itself; the link will add that store when the problem is solved).

The story includes Sherlock Holmes, and does a call back to a couple of the previous stories, plus readers get tidbits from Lars’ past. I hope everyone enjoys the tale.

Here is a quick excerpt:

“I found the airship ride to Meiringen quite pleasant.” Elspeth sipped her cup of tea, glancing around the dining room at the guests finishing a late breakfast. “Don’t you agree?”

“Indeed.” Lars dabbed his mouth with his napkin. “Such breathtaking Swiss scenery. In fact, this whole trip has been excellent. Take this hotel. First-rate service. They cooked my egg to perfection, the pastries tasted divine, and I haven’t had muesli since I was a boy.” He glanced down at his empty bowl before reaching for his cup. “You really should have tried their coffee. It is superb, a wonderful flavour with—”

“Miss Elspeth Heyward, we meet again,” a husky, masculine voice interrupted, and the pair looked up from their table at a tall, dark-haired man with piercing blue eyes.

“Oh my, it’s you,” Elspeth blurted. “That James fellow. You remember Andersen, Scarlett LeJeune’s beau.”

Lars shrank back against his chair, his complexion draining to a pale tinge.

“Indeed. Allow me to introduce myself officially. James Moriarty, at your service.”
