Day 8 – National Poetry Month: Shadow Dewdrops

Today’s prompt was Shadow Dewdrops and I wrote a trimeric poem. Enjoy.

Shadow Dewdrops

In the first rays of dawn
as the shadows peel away
and the dewdrops dance
upon the lush verdant grass

As the shadows peel away
shrinking to illumination,
the garden slowly awakens

And the dewdrops dance
reflecting in the sunlight
Tiny impermanent perfection

Upon the lush verdant grass
breaks the newborn morning
into brilliant, bright colour
