National Poetry Month – Day 9: The Ringing of the Bells

So here we are at Day 9 and today’s poem comes from two prompts: sharp and tintinnabulation. Sharp came from an internet search and tintinnabulation was suggested by one of my friends on Facebook. No form today, just a free verse poem.

The Ringing of the Bells

The morning air drifts softly,
with the breath of anticipation
It breaks in a cappella rhythm
with the sharp tang of notes,
swelling from the clang
of sweet synchronization
tintinnabulation
sonorousness
reverberating
thunderous
against the ascending sun.
