National Poetry Month – Day 6: Wilted

Today we come to Day Six and the prompt is Wilted. The poem form is a Triquain.

Wilted

Sagging stance
A bend in self-esteem
Listen to the whispered, hateful words
Lost in isolation, deficient of focus
Wandering alone, seeking solace
until self-worth becomes
Neglected
