Mythical Bravado

Arrogant eyes above a charming smile,
boasting feats of daring do for the crowds
His muscles bulge,
his tongue weaves gallant tales,
as he struts upon the stage

I am the hero, adore me

The arrogance runs deep into his soul
His boasts are the stolen deeds of others,
his muscles only lift an ale,
his tongue crafts puerile lies
as he struts upon that stage

He is a hero, in his own delusion
