Day 21 – National Poetry Month: Violet Petal

Today’s poem was an experiment in rhyme, from the prompt, Violet Petal. Enjoy.

Violet Petal

Dew drop rains in spring
listen to the birdies sing
Flowers bloom in violet
under the garden swing

A laugh and a smile met;
best friends inviolate
Even when they must go,
but stay for a while yet

Such cheery days aglow,
where time moved so slow
In treasured memories ring
with violet petals in a row
