And we have come to the final day of National Poetry Month, and I bring you a poem appropriately titled, Endings.

Endings
Standing the rain
on the edge of my horizons,
He wanted to talk
the patter on my umbrella
echoing my thumping heart
He said goodbye
The neon signs flashing
strobe light laughter,
He shut the door
mocking dissolved dreams
as I breathe pain
He isn’t coming back
