#NationalPoetryMonth Day 18: Sand, Shells, and Sea

Today I am trying a new form, the Echo Verse. I’m not sure if I got it quite right, but it’s interesting.

Sand, Shells, and Sea

In the early morning I am here. Hear

the surf against the sand. And

smile with sunlight in my eye. I

wiggle my toes against the wet. Wet

sea lapping over shells. Shells

echoing the ocean blue. Blew

my cares out to sea. See

the morning dawn. Dawn.
