Be Afraid of the Dark…

Masked
Moonlight sings
on a revelry night,
a seduction veil of lace and lies
Secrets beyond the smiles, past the pretty facade
the temptation tango unfolds
beneath someone else’s face
for the night
a stray whisper teases
an elevation of convention
that untamed liberty of anonymity
camouflaged within another skin
of fabric and fancy
until dawn
